Federal College of Wildlife Management, New Bussa, Niger State
The Federal College of Wildlife Management, New-Bussa was established in 1978 to train technical and sub-technical staff in the area of Wildlife conservation and management. It has its first intake of students on the 17th March, 1980. The trainees (Wildlife Guards and Scouts) went through a six month course in Wildlife Conservation and Management. The admission into Ordinary Diploma (now National Diploma) Programme started in 1981 while the first intake for the Higher Diploma (now Higher National Diploma) programme were enrolled in September 1984. However, the scope of the programme of the college has been expanded.
